Protecting Businesses and Employers from Costly Mistakes
Alexis and Renee are co-founding partners of the boutique firm, WorkWise Law, PC, which represents employers in the state of California. They advise and counsel business owners and managers in employment law and human resources.
What sets Alexis and Renee apart from other attorneys in the field is that they truly understand the motivations and concerns of the workforce, having practiced employment law on both sides of the equation for more than 13 years. Due to their deep understanding of what causes employees to bring lawsuits, and the vulnerable areas that plaintiffs' attorneys focus on, Alexis and Renee successfully coach employers on how to be compliant with the complex employment laws and regulations, and prevent time-consuming and costly lawsuits.
Alexis and Renee have litigated hundreds of cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, whistleblower claims, retaliation and more. Their focus is helping employers be proactive in their business practice rather than reactive. They do this by drafting comprehensive policies and procedures, training managers how to identify and respond to human resource issues, performing HR audits to identify non-compliant practices, conducting workplace investigations that withstand scrutiny, and guiding clients through the myriad of regulations and laws that face them.
Accomplishments: Renee and Alexis have been featured speakers at the HR Star Conference, National Association of Women Business Owners, Professionals in Human Resources Association, and regularly provide educational webinars for a variety of clients. They are the proud partners of the Los Angeles County Medical Association, and the Physical Therapy Provider Network.
